Investment Analyst

PeopleWise Partners, on behalf of a leading Infrastructure & Engineering Company, is seeking a diligent, analytical, and detail-oriented Investment Analyst to support the implementation and financing of key infrastructure and sustainability projects. The successful candidate will support financial analysis, investment evaluation, financial modelling, lender coordination, financing documentation, project monitoring, and stakeholder reporting. The role requires strong analytical capabilities, advanced Microsoft Excel skills, and the ability to work effectively with internal teams, lenders, advisors, investors, and other project stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Key Responsibilities
- • Support the preparation and maintenance of project finance and investment models.
- • Conduct financial analysis, scenario modelling, sensitivity analysis, and project performance assessments.
- • Assist with investment evaluations, feasibility studies, business cases, and financial due diligence.
- • Support the financial close process by coordinating required information, documentation, and financial analysis.
- • Assist in responding to requests from lenders, development finance institutions, commercial banks, investors, sponsors, and advisors.
- • Prepare and maintain KYC documentation, lender information requests, financing records, and supporting schedules.
- • Track debt disbursements, equity contributions, project payments, financing costs, and repayment schedules.
- • Monitor financial covenants, conditions precedent, reporting obligations, and financing compliance requirements.
- • Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, cash flow projections, and project cost analyses.
- • Review project financial performance and identify variances, risks, and areas requiring management attention.
- • Prepare financial reports, investment summaries, presentations, dashboards, and briefing materials for management, shareholders, lenders, and other stakeholders.
- • Conduct market, sector, economic, and financial research relevant to infrastructure and investment opportunities.
- • Maintain accurate investment records, project documentation, financial data, and stakeholder information.
- • Work closely with the CFO, Investment Manager, Accounting team, project teams, and external advisors to support effective financial and investment operations.
Qualifications
- Qualifications and Experience
- • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in investment analysis, project finance, corporate finance, infrastructure finance, financial advisory, banking, or a related field.
- • Experience in financial modelling, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, or investment evaluation.
- • Exposure to financial due diligence, lender requirements, KYC processes, financing documentation, or stakeholder reporting is preferred.
- • Experience in infrastructure, construction, engineering, PPP, concession, project finance, or special-purpose vehicle environments is an advantage.
- • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modelling, scenario analysis, and data analysis.
- • Familiarity with Microsoft PowerPoint and the preparation of professional financial presentations.
- • CFA, CPA, ACCA, CMA, FMVA, or another relevant professional qualification is preferred or in progress.
